The European Digital Identity Wallet (EUDI Wallet) stands as a cornerstone of the EU’s updated eIDAS 2.0 regulation, formally adopted in 2024.

To ensure the wallet’s success, large-scale pilots began in April 2023, engaging over 350 organizations across 26 EU Member States, along with Norway, Iceland, and Ukraine. These pilots aim to validate the wallet’s functionality, interoperability, and security. Additional pilots are planned for mid-2025 to further refine and expand the solution.
