KPN Health to use ODS2’s BSS for Gedeelde Zorg in the Midden-Holland Region

The Challenge

Secure and efficient sharing of healthcare provider data within a single digital environment – in short: digital collaboration.

The Midden-Holland healthcare region is leading the way and is considered a pioneer in digital healthcare collaboration. It is the first region in the Netherlands where healthcare providers share their data within a unified digital network environment. This saves valuable time and contributes to accessible and future-proof healthcare.

The Solution

KPN Health is implementing the end-to-end Wallet Ecosystem from ODS2 for Gedeelde Zorg (Shared Care) in the region Midden-Holland.

The regional care collective Gedeelde Zorg, in which various healthcare and welfare organizations from Midden-Holland collaborate, is taking a major digital leap forward. Soon, more than 25,000 healthcare professionals and 250,000 residents will be able to collaborate securely and efficiently within a single, central digital environment.

This step is made possible by a joint solution from KPN Health, Cacao & Open Health Hub, supported by the integrated Business Support System (BSS) from ODS2 and the ID eWallet technology from Ubiqu.

A Future-Proof Digital Healthcare Infrastructure

The Role of ODS2

Using the secure login method of the KPN ID eWallet, KPN Health supports the Gedeelde Zorg collective in complying with current and future legislation regarding identification and authentication.

To effectively manage the various organizations and their users – each with different roles and rights – ODS2’s BSS platform is utilized. Through an IAM integration, all healthcare providers are digitally onboarded. They are then invited to establish their digital identity in the Ubiqu ID Wallet at the highest possible level of assurance (LoA High).

Within the end-to-end Wallet Ecosystem from ODS2, all identities can be managed securely and intuitively. Roles and attributes are accurately assigned, enabling smooth and safe digital collaboration within Gedeelde Zorg.

The Conclusion

Thanks to the joint solution from KPN Health, Cacao, Open Health Hub, ODS2, and Ubiqu, a secure, scalable, and manageable environment for handling digital healthcare identities is created. This collaboration forms a powerful foundation for a future-oriented, digital healthcare infrastructure in the Netherlands.
